Broccoli Sprouts

Broccoli sprouts are a rich source of a compound called sulforaphane, a plant chemical that has been shown to target and kill cancer stem cells, as well as prevent new tumors from growing. Researchers believe that eliminating the growth of cancer stem cells is the key to controlling cancer. Broccoli sprouts have been shown to decrease the incidence of different types of cancer, specifically stomach cancer.

Berries

Berries are an excellent source of anti-oxidants, specifically anthocyanins, which is what gives berries their rich color. Anthocyanins protect against a variety of cancers including colorectal and esophageal cancers.

Green Tea

Green tea has been used in Chinese medicine for at least 4,000 years! Now, scientific research is providing evidence for the health benefits that have been associated with green tea for centuries. Green tea is rich in Catechin Polyphenols, specifically EGCG. EGCG is a powerful antioxidant which has been shown to kill cancer cells without damaging any surrounding tissue, lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, decreases risk of heart attack and stroke, among many other overall health benefits. Green tea has also been shown to be effective in weight management.

Papaya

This delicious tropical fruit has shown anticancer effect against a broad range of lab- grown tumors, including cancers of the cervix, breast, liver, lung and pancreas. Studies have shown that a tea made from the leaves of the papaya tree has stronger anti-cancer properties.

Graviola

Also known as ‘Brazilian Paw-Paw’ or ‘Sour Sop.’ This little tree found in the Amazon has been found to be effective in both preventing and treating cancer. The active component in graviola, Annonaceous acetogenin, has potent anti-tumour properties which has been shown to be “10,000 times more powerful than Adriamycin,” a commonly used chemotherapy drug.
